Today for some strange reason I found myself humming and then singing one of the songs my nan always sang when she had a bit of a tipple. I don't know what sparked it off (I definitely hadn't had a tipple) but I felt like a little girl again just very happy with myself and the world, and my nan seemed very close.

It was of all things. My Old Man Said Follow The Van.

It was only when I got to the bottle bank near the plot I relaised I had sang it as I walked down the street.

Anybody else have this sort of thing happen.................or should I get my coat  ::)

Haven't followed a van with a train whistle blowing for some time  ::) but find myself humming "Let it Grow" by Mr Clapton many a time  ;D

If I ever get it all right - then that's the time to quit.

Went on a Steam Train ride here on Sunday, as soon as the train was leaving the station, a group started singing "Train whistle blowing" was such a giggle

I think of the most enoying song and start huming it in work, by the end of the day there are a few people moaning as they can't get the song out of their head ;D

glad to hear I'm not the only one who does that.  But theres no one down my lottie to hear me.  There's fewer and fewer of us each year. Despite the councils and our best effort to get them rented.( new water tanks and road this year)
Hope its not my singing putting people off.

What triggers songs in my mind is hearing just a few words spoken such as "bye-bye!"
and next thing I'm singing "bye bye love, hello emptiness hello loneliness I think I'm
a-gonna die-ie, goodbye my love goodbye."  (a zippie song from the 50s for you young-uns).

That can last me all day :o

I keep tapping out the rhythm to-"Down in the jungle living in a tent, better than a prefab, no rent" so before my time. Where's it come from?
