.....oversized runner beans?

They're still green, but they must be pretty stringy and tough (just bit one - they are). And I've got loads of em.

Anybody got any useful suggestions?

ceres

Let them dry out and either save the seeds for next year or use them as dried beans in soups, stews etc.

ROTH,
Trim the sides off. If the beans inside are large, I would suggest leaving them on the plant to mature/dry/use next year?
;D

Oh, they're large alright. Think David - Goliath - slingshot.  :)

I've saved a few (maybe 100) White Lady seeds for next year, but how many plants do you need? No more than 10, I reckon.

Looks like drying them then. Or using them in the catty for the pigeons.  ;D

Or maybe a seed swap for next year, anyone?

we have bags of shelled beans in the freezer, just add to stews and soups  ;D

Amazin

Do you soak them first Manics? Or does the stewing time sort them out?
