Allotments 4 All

was wondering if the raspberries are lates or earlies please as i have just planted some from lidl and it does not say thanks n8r.....

With lidls they may not even be raspberries!!! :o

I picked up 5 blueberries from lidl all apppear healthy & 2 of them had berries on them so they are definitely the right thing.
I also picked up a fig (brown turkey), jostaberry, loganberry, tayberry & tummelberry for a fiver on the market yesterday when I went to collect the japanese onion sets I had asked them to get me.

Lidl will have apple, cherry, pear & plum trees @ £3.99 each & crab apples @ £4.99 each on Thursday the 23rd.

I bought 9 blueberries from them with the intention of nurturing them over winter in the greenhouse and then using them to edge a new strawberry bed - when I came to pot them on today, not only was the compost bone dry but not a single one had any root system whatsoever - just been blasting them on the phone  >:( and even at £1.29 each this is still bad - it is pot luck really I guess

No soft fruit left at my local Lidl yesterday, only a few blackberries....I also went to B&Q to see if they had any of the Blueberries mentioned in an earlier post, no soft fruit at all!! :'(

Deb, if you have a 99p shop near you, they should be doing soft fruit - my local branch has bluebs, rasps, currants, goosebs, etc.
