Nature works in mysterious ways ... or God if you prefer ...

As soon as I posted here that my butternuts were all leaves, what happened when I visited next?  You got it - there are female flowers forming!  I'm not getting my hopes up too much though, as they haven't flowered yet ... and it's turining into a cold wet Autumn as I speak...

Maybe it was that squash bug Jeannine promised to inject me with??!! :D  Now there's an injection I'll happily have if this is how it works  ;D

Anyway - it's the furthest I've got with the ****** things yet!
