Afternoon all.

i dug up all the potatoes yesterday, and its amazing how nicely theyve broken up the almost pure manure they were planted into, without the plants though, it does look a little bare - what, if anything, can i plant now that will thrive on the soil post-potatoes?

Cheers everyone.

Leeks in, and overwintering onions soon too
If I ever get it all right - then that's the time to quit.

I could do some leeks and brussells then! Are they both raised from seed, or it it best to start them off in my greenhouse and plant out?

Well, my leeks are seedlings sown in the spring....the same goes for brussels. Can you get hold of some plants?

This is a good site for suggesting anything worth sowing now:

PS much of my potato patch is waiting for autumn sown broad beans, which have always done well for me.
