Wondered if anyone can help me?

I've grown various veg in grow bags on our patio this year (only recently got the lottie). The broad beans have done me well, but have now got rust, and I'm about to take my last harvest from them.

I had been thinking of putting the contents of the grow bags onto my allotment beds, but I have a couple of Qs:

1. Should I use the compost if the plants have rust - will it pass the problem on to my allotment?

2. If I can use the compost, should I only put the compost that has grown beans where I won't be growing beans next year to keep my crop rotation plan in order?

Sorry if I sound a bit ignorant - this is all new (and exciting!) to me.

Don't worry about the rust. It always flourishes in wet weather, but it doesn't normally do any harm.

I'm going to sound a bit pedantic, but the 'rust' that affects broad beans is usually chocolate spot.

All right, it is another fungal disease, and it doesn't do the beans any harm, but it's as well to know exactly what you are dealing with. ;D ;D
