I'd just like to say what a load of nonsense... can anyone think of something that could cost more money & be less workable?

if you go over your limit, do you have to stop washing?

Is red wine carbon?-I have a regular supply of empties -will trade for re-fills ;D

Why don't they do something positive instead of taxing everything.
It's completely unworkable anyway.

Oh heck, I know how sprouts and baked beans treat me. ;D ;D

There is a suggestion that we should stop rearing cattle/sheep/pigs, etc for meat as they are credited with the most methane producing gases, and that humans should go on to a purely vegetarian/vegan diet.

Speaking personally, all you would be doing is transferring the methane production from animals to humans. ;D ;D

I don't know VM, all the members of my class eat meat and they fart far more than I do and it is far more offensive than anything I produce as well.  I think lower junior teachers should be on danger money :-X

I don't know about that either, Valmarg, as your average meat eater chomps his or her way through six animals a year thats an awful lot of gases saved by giving up meat - and remember those six animals have to be fed for 6 months or a year before you even get your teeth into them.
