If you get junk mail with prepaid envelopes do what I do.
Put the leaflets that come for local take aways in the envelope and post it back to them.

wrap a concrete block in brown paper and attach the prepaid envelope  ;D

I do soooooooo agree that this junk mail is a pest.
I have registered with both the mailing preference service and with the telephone preference service.

When I worked for a mail order company, who used junk mailing to get customers they would receive thousands of replies.

So too many people are responding to junk mail. If it was made ineffectual by people not responding then it would stop.

Ordinary men and women are working to open this mail, as it is an easy job , many are disabled, so I would ask you not to return the envelope with nasty things inside as I know some people do.

Return the prepaid envelopes with other unwanted mailings which will not identify you by all means.

If any one spots the postman dropping litter, ie rubber bands, that should be reported because dropping litter is an offence. They have pockets in their uniforms and can return unused bands to the office for recycling.

This junk mail form of advertising should be stopped.

If you put stupid stuff in the replied paid envelopes how on earth are they going to know who to delete from the mailing list - doh  ::) Just get yourselves off the lists by marking the unopened post as "unsolicited mail" and putting back into the post.

The Mail Preference thingy only works for junk mail generated from this country but there is a huge world out there and they send loads of junk mail that the Post Office cannot regulate.

I don't get worked up about it I just bin it - straight away - in my recycling bin!
