Great pressie mrf. Happy birthday in advance  ;) :D
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

twiggy

you  lucky  lucky  boy !  ive  always  wondered  how  you pull  the  plastic  tight  do you  need  lots  of  people  and  how  long  did  it  take  you  to put  up  ..im  amazed  how  strong  they are  i was  watching  one  at  my  site  last week  when we had  that  cold  strong  wind  last  week  ..i thought  it  would  take off  !!!  but  it  didnt  want  another  plot  now .....

mrf94

It took about 2 hours to erect, luckily the wearther was warm which allowed
the plastic to soften, There was no wind and the sheet comes in one piece
ready made up,so it only took the wife and i to pull it over the frame then a bit of tugging here and there to settle it in,
To be honest it was quite an enjoyable task,The instructions were photo based and understandable,
The only thing that let it down were the tent pegs that came with it, About 6 inch long pieces of straight wire bent over at one end.
At the mo its got large stones holding it down as well as the pegs , I folded the plastic in at the bottom not out so i can run paving stones all around the outer edges of the turned in plastic giving me weight and a ledge for my "black buckets"
I also have a few larger squarish containers that im looking forward to using that will allow me to hopefully grow other things beside my toms n peppers .

And i think the slow cooker i bought her may have had a softening up
effect because she loves it, brisket never tasted as good as it does now

Well, well mrf94, how astute of you .......
QuoteYes saddad but yours and mine aren't snitched from an advert.
Can certainly rely on you to come up with such an endearing yet sarcastic remark!!  Yes the polytunnel is not mine and I snitched it (your words)... via an imagine search via Google.
Firstly I must apologise to you mrf94 for what seems an intention to mislead you, it really was not my intention to mislead you... it was only meant as a leg pull when I was attempting to wish you well with your polytunnel. When I was writing the post in reply to you I had every intention of adding a remark by the imagine to let members know that the polytunnel in the post was most certainly not mine (wish it was as its perfectly planted!) and that your newly acquired polytunnel mrf94 would soon be looking like the one in the picture!!! However due to writing the post in the early hours and being rather tired I was easily distracted by my son arriving home from work from his late shift. I accidentally posted the post without the explanation and thus I have created this misunderstanding. I AM TRULY SORRY!! to any members that I have mislead with the inserted imagine on my post and I have emailed Dan asking him if it is at all possible to have the imagine removed from my post.
I promise I will be more careful in any future posts!!
I wish you well with your new polytunnel mrf94, I am quite sure you will spend many happy hours planting wonderful things in the tunnel!! Your wife has done you proud!! Oh yes and Many Happy Returns for June!!!!
