littlebabybird

hi I think its a pattypan squash

Paulines7

I grew them in 2006 and picked up a packet from Lidl for this year.  The fruits are better picked when they are small and can be used in a variety of ways.  See:
http://www.deliaonline.com/messageboard/7/24320/thread.html  As littlebabybird says, they are a pattipan squash.

They can be bought in supermarkets but are very expensive, yet they are so easy to grow.

It is definately a summer squash, grow it just the same as a courgette and start picking them when they are about 3inches across, it is an excellent prolific  squash, summer though so they won't store.

Great to hear Teena!! :D

I saw these only an hour ago while I was in Lidl, I was going to get some.....saw someone I knew, chatted, forgot to pick them up :(

Never mind, next time I go in.
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

Forgot to say earlier, it is a Hybrid by the way.
