Rhubarb Thrasher

I always had a soft spot for Geoffrey Smith, tho he was/is a bit rude and charmless  a la B. Oddie.

Jekka offered me a job once, but I couldn't take it. (insert big frowny Smiley)

Absolutely.

I have to agree. He was a really practical gardener. I love the way that, even if he did a 'posh' garden, he always did a poor man's version alongside it. Much better than Titchmarsh.......'Go buy yourself £100 of pots and a few mature plants to put in them. Oh, dont forget some nice expensive pebbles. And while you are  at it, why not go into overdraught to get some pottery feet for your pots.'

I'm sure he has shares in B and Q!

I think Rachel de Thame was put there to make me feel old , fat and ugly >:( ;D

1. Geoff Hamilton - our family viewing & he has a lot to answer for.
2. Alan Titchmarsh - whatever the weather, enjoy your garden.  Thank  you Alan, I shall
3. Carol Klein - I used to see her in the early days of the big shows and always impressed me with her real practical knowledge.

3.5 Hendry next door to my grannie 'cos he grew great cabbages ( ok, he was never on telly but I'm not into rules)

1. Geoff Hamilton.

Met him at a Barnsdale plant sale when I had just bought my first house and was revamping the garden, he inspired me to try and create a kitchen garden and set me on the path to being a veggy gardener for which I am eternally grateful. The way he kept costs down by making things like cloches himself appealed to me, made it appear very accessable.

2. Harry Dodson.

I never get fed up of watching the various series he was involved with, and I love to listen to his tales of the way gardening evolved during his lifetime.

3. Bob Flowerdew

The only choice that is still alive, that says something! A bit bonkers, (pot calling kettle.....!) but I like his recycling and organic minded approach.
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Don't moan, at least you have gardeners to chose from!
As there is only one gardener on Dutch television, and he stinks, I have to borrow yours.
Mind you, I only know four of them, so this is not so much as a top-3 as an assessment.

Carol Klein - for her enthusiasm
Monty Don - for his calm authority
Charlie Dimmock - just because

Alan Titchmarch is very knowledgable, but I don't like his way of presenting: comically cute doesn't become a man over 50.
Also I like my gardeners hands on, and I have the impression that Titchmarsh has every hole dug for him by machines.
