is there any reason not to plant strawberries and rhubarb in the same bed? I've got a bit of extra space in my new rhubarb bed (shaped like a wedge of cheese because my plot's not square) so I thought I'd fill it up with some strawbs.

No reason why not at all, just make sure you leave enough space for the Rhubarb as you dont want them shading the Strawberries.

but when you think about it most strawbs develop nicely underneath their own leaves - helps disguise them from the birds, so not such a bad thing  :D

Anyone ever tried rhubarb & strawberry jam?
I got asked for it for the first time the other day, but would like to know if it's any good before making any.
