Tomatos and acidic soil question?

i read they like this soil type and you can use used filter coffee on the plot, however can you use coffee granules? someone brought me a large tin of this a couple of years ago for christmas, bizarre present!! even more bizarre it was 4 years out of date, hence, im looking for a use for it!!

Tomatoes are fine in a wide range of soil types, they don't particularly like acid soil over any other.
Your coffee can be used as a slug deterrent though, some people on here have found it very useful.

Jennym has it answered.

But one tomato variety can be improved by actually planting it inside a coffee pot-plant as usual,put the top back on and leave ;D
