I currently have some Ghostrider seeds but not sure if the plants will be too large for my pumpkin patch in my garden.

The area is approx 1.3m x 1.3m can i get more than one plant in this area.

What would you recommend for a first timer in growing pumpkins. Really want one for halloween.  ;)

Chris are you able to grow upwards? Some pumpkins will climb?

How much fruit you looking for?

Chris Graham

Only looking for one good fruit and yeah football size would be fine.

No chance of growing up :(

Chris you can't get a regular vining pumpkin in that space as the vines can grow as much as 20 feet, it would grow and spread all over. There are one ot two bush or semi bush pumkins that you might consider, personally I would suggest the Hybrid Bush Spirit, it has about a 5 foot span, Or consider growing one of the bush winter squash that mature to orange instead. I can't help you on that one I don't have it personally or you could have some but it is considered a good one for small areas according to all my info. Try googling, someone will have it XX Jeannine

Chris I think that spot is big enough to put a pyramid up  like you would for beans, if you use a smaller pumpkin, you should be able to grow it up by tying in if you make the pyramid good and strong. it is worth a try. get back to me if you want a few seeds of a smaller pumpkin, the vines will still be long though XX Jeannine
