I live on top of a hill and it gets quite windy. As an indication of how windy, my 6 x 4 plastic green house got shredded.  I have clayey soil.

Looking at some polytunnel suppliers there are two options I wanted to ask about

1. Securing the hoops-
Base plates that are buried or concreted?

2. Polythene
Trenching, aluminium rail or timber rail. I imagine in the long run I'd be replacing the plastic so timber may not be such a good idea

Thanks for any advice

Jo
