Hi Jitterbug, and Guys and Dolls

I am also waiting to see if I get the Heritage Seeds I have requested (last years selection arrived before Santa !!)

I have not yet got round to sorting out my 'swaps' for 2008 but do have some Tomato Black Plum, which I saved at the end of 2007 season. I have done a germination test on the dried seeds and achieved 100%

PM your addy (I have wiped most of my old files) and will send you some.

To all Seed Swap enthusiasts:

I have quite a good supply of Black Plum this year, they seem to have produced a lot of seed even though the season was wet and weird. If anyone else would like some PM me.

I hope to put together my seed swap/gift list before the end of January, so may be best if you wait and see if there is anything else you would like. Get more for your postage ha! ha!

Best wishes to you all for Christmas and good health and happiness in 2008

Cheers

I could dig you out some Broad Ripple Yellow Currant... but be warned you will be weeding them out for years!

Hi Mikey and Saddad and Jeannine

Would be interested in a bit of each.  Saddad - No problem with having to weed however is it a good eater?? (compared with Sungold) :P

Jeannine : Got your order and OK - hope I get some Peacevine.

Let's wait and see what arrives in the post and then we can finalise the swaps.
Thanks

It is not as sweet as Sungold... but nice enough in a hot month, gets a bit tasteless by November. Massive producer, if you leave it alone, other than a bit of surround support it gets to about 6' every way, trusses of up to 10 fruit and once counted 200 trusses on a monster before I got bored and stopped trying to count them all. They split when really ripe and then fall so you end up with seedlings everywhere, this makes a good indicator for soil temp before planting out squash..
;D

Thanks Saddad - sounds OK to me - I will give it a try.
