Last year I sent out Black Prince tomato seeds to various people. I now seem to have lost my saved seed and wondered if anyone has grown and saved some that they could let me have. It's my favourite cooking tomato and it's now out of stock at the supplier.

Hi all,

this is a variety I have never tried, if anyone still has a few seeds to spare I would be grateful

Sorry cannot leave you the house in my will, but happy to offer a 'priceless' seed swap !!!

Hope you all have a great Christmas and good health and happiness in 2008

I only have these:

Black Sea Man
Black from Tula
Black Krim

Not sure if they are all the same but under different names but as I have not yet grown them out can't say for sure.

mikey

Rob,

not being greedy but could I have a few of each, never tried any of these

Cheers

Would it be ok if I sent these out in Feb?  Just I am getting ready to move so am boxing things up for shipping to London in January.  You can Pm me to remind me and I will send them out.

Robert_Brenchley

They're different varieties. I've grown Black Seaman, which is a little too late for growing outdoors in our climate, and cracked badly in the wet weather after last year's drought. It's a lovely tom, but because of the cracking most of it ended up as puree.

saddad

I have Black Maur (?) Prince and Cherry if you want some Mikey!

Saddad,

would love a few of each, thanks.

My Toms this year (2007) were a disaster, nothing outdoors ripened at all, just green, wet and rotted.

But happily had a decent crop in the Greenhouse, Black Plum, Principe Borghese, Blaby Special and Reisentraube, all from seed swapped on A4A early in 2007.
Also Jackie's Prize, my own seed saved from a 'veggie box' the Boss Lady won at her keep fit class in 2005. The guy who made up the box had grown the Toms himself from seed saved over at least 2 generations of his family, no name so I named 'em Jackie's Prize. I suspect they might be Alicante or a close relative but they crop heavy, keep well on the plant and taste great.

PM on it's way with address

take care

Mikey what Blacks do you want.

The carpet by the way is actually a quilt I made a few years ago
