HI Guys,

I think we need to decide what to do with it over christmas?

The last postal day is the 20th and i am not sure its a great idea leaving the parcel sitting in a sorting office somewhere?

Anyone else got a view on this?

Are you saying that between December 20 and Januari 3 there will be no postal deliveries in the UK? :o Or is there between Christmas and Newyears Eve?

If the first is the case, I would say that the person who has the parcel on the 20th has a long time picking and packing. Consider it a Christmas bonus and enjoy!

We, the people on the other end of the list, will be waiting much longer and expect something in return though ;)

I think that if the parcel is not in the post by Monday it should be kept safe until after the holiday period.

For those who do not fully understand the English postal system let me give a brief outline: Parcels arrive at sorting office on wheeled trolleys and placed in a neat row for the staff to process in an orderly fashion. New trolley arrivals are shunted up the line to enable a first in first out operation until

Overload occurs. New trolleys get shoved in a new line in front of the old line, then trolleys get shoved anywhere, then supervisors shoves staff, then staff shove unprocessed trolleys on outbound lorries to be queued at another sorting office for the process to be repeated. In other words, any buildup of parcels get stored on moving lorries going anywhere, until the volume reduces to normal. Parcels frequently take a month or more to escape from this loop.

Better to have the parcel safe in someones house. I too am eagerly waiting for my turn to receive the goodies but do not want it lost.

i received the parcel today wow havent had time to look at it yet as just collected it from the sorting office, now i wont be able to put it in the post until tuesday because i am working two 13 hour shifts monday and tuesday do you guys still want me to post it or wait it will be 19th the choice is yours

did you no get my message i sent one to say that i have not found anything i dont like on it at all pretty much something for every mood there is not one band/group/singer i know on there so therefore would probably not gone out and bought any of them without recommendations but wow what iwould have missed thank you so very much again

hi i'm here, sorry i forgot i was on this one too! i think it might be safer to keep hold of it until after the rush if you dont mind as i would hate for it to get lost in the post and end up under a pile of bags behind a locker in a sorting office in scotland as i hear happened to some parcels last year. they only discovered them a few weeks ago! i am looking forward to recieving it and it will be nice to be looking out for something from the posman other than winter bills! so, yes hold onto it for bit.  ;)

sadly the parcel not on its way yet i am on nights with no transport but i will be posting it on tues at the very latest sorry for the delay  :(
