Hi folks
Going to Runcorn for a family wedding tomorrow, thought I might combine trip with a bit of plant buying - as you do! Any recommendations for a good garden centre/nursery in that area, please.

On Yell.com I found 'Bents',and 'Rivendell' any opinions?
If it's Rosie's allotment - how come Muggins here does so much digging?

I poster this in 'Top Tips' - maybe it was the wrong forum?

Can't help about garden centres etc but here's hoping the weather is kind and the family wedding goes well. Have a great day.

Unless you have loads of money steer well clear of Bents.(It's full of Christmas stuff !!}

I might be getting confused, but i'm pretty sure Rivendell was nowhere near Runcorn ( and i've read the book and seen the filums)

Runcorn is probably a bit closer to Mordor I think. My grandparents lived there, and worked for ICI. She preparing bread and dripping for the ICI orcs, and he shovelling plutonium. God I loved that bread and dripping. Now it's all ciabatta and extra virgin olive oil

Back now, had a good time. We went to 'Rivendell' Garden Centre, very nice, it has it's own nursery (the plant growing kind, not baby minding service!) Didn't stop for long as hubby and sons were in car moaning. Picked up two redcurrants - not named varieties and an Oregan Thornless blackberry for £2.99 each, very reasonable compared to home (Berks) Would recommend it as a good GC to visit.
