After the careful transportation and the tragic loss of 12 panes of glass, I have learned that I am not allowed glass on site due to the hazards that it might incur. One side of my greenhouse consists of 3 sections of glass, each section made up of four panes of glass. Is it worth me getting the polycarbonate cut to the same size as the glass or just replace four pieces of glass with one long sheet of Polycarbonate? Does it effect how the greenhouse works or not? In certain places like the louve and opening roof window I will have to get cut to size.

PC is expensive - we use 4 panels of it to make up a cloche - 10 year guarantee etc.

But, although the light transmission is much poorer, we have replaced several panes in our 7' lean-to with twinwall 'whatever'. = Tim

Considering I have no choice but to replace all the glass is there any other choice to PC on glass replacement.

I'm no expert on this, & its difficult to picture your need exactly, like how strong is the frame without the strength of glass.

Strength, light transmission & life expectancy are all factors to balance against cost. Have a word with DIY Plastics - they're very helpful. Cut to size or sheets. This is the cheapo stuff we filled in with: = Tim
