Lucky you Tim - mine got swamped by the sage. I'm going to try to keep a pot going in the GH over the winter, if I can find some at my local garden center.

I had great parsley this year. What i have done is given it a great cut and froze the parsley for a later date(great for stuffing at christmas)
within three weeks it was growing again :)

I always find buying most herbs as plants is far cheaper and easier than buying seed, unless of course you are after a more obscure variety.

We collected most of our curly parsley and chopped it finely with the mezza luna and froze it.  All ready to use in sauces, fish cakes, etc.

Will have to do the same with the flat leaf, when we find the time.

What a good idea, I always forget to freeze the parsley and then when I want some its a trek up to the lottie.

But do do it in small packs. It thaws very quickly on opening & doesn't refreeze so well.

And do leave some unchopped for casseroles etc - holds its flavour much better.
