I'm growing Jumbo Pink Banana squash for the first time this year...at the moment it resembles a large yellow ovoid zeppelin, about 2'x1'!!!

It is still growing at an amazing rate, just how big can it get? And as it is not pink, can I assume I've just got a promiscuous 'ordinary' banana squash?!
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

The colour may not come true until fully  mature and cured and it can grow to 40 pounds in weight, so it is still growing, leave it on the vine as long as you can, in fact leave it till the vine has completely withered away, it will receive nourishment right until the vine is dead. It will them store for months. However pull it if we gwt a frost.

I have this photo from the end of August, but it has swollen considerably in the last 2 weeks, I would say doubled in size! I will take another pic tomorrow so you can see the difference! ;D

This was the squash today, with my glove next to it to give some idea of scale......(they are quite big gloves by the way!)

The pumpkin competition at our allotments is run as a blind seed where you buy a seed or two and whoever gets the biggest wins, these photos remind me of the one I grew last year which, when I picked it before the first frost, weighed in at just over five stone.... that's 90lb!!
It also grew while you stood there and watched it. Feed it all you can and plenty of moisture and you should have a monster :-)

Have photos somewhere.
