Lost a lot of cus this year - just shrivelling on the main stem. Usually, that's it. But look what's happening now!!

My Crystal apple regularly do that Tim.. don't modern varieties?

Never had any variety regrow on the main stem.

Aren't they just making side shoots at the leaf axils?

No - they're just producing 1-3 fruit at each 'previously used' node. V strange?

Here's one from which I have just picked a mature cu. You can see the aborted/withered one from weeks back, & now the third lot of growth!
