plants for sale.....in october!

our commitee have anounced they are having a plant sale at the AGM at the end of october and have asked for donated plants! all unsold ones have to be taken back. they are telling us now to give us time to propagate
apart from my ever dropping plantlet jade i am at a loss as to what to donate
could start bulbs off i suppose
what do you peeps think

we've been talking about the same thing, marg..
we've started cuttings off from herbs and geraniums, fuschia and split the polyanthus and primulas..
I ,myself, don't think the seeds will make a big enough plant to sell, we're also thinking of buying plug plants in to bring on, pansies and things..hope this helps  ;D

yes you have never thought of geraniums i,ll have to get snipping and i,v just sown some pansies not through yet but fingers crossed thanks

you could do place buckets with christmas parsnips?

Set off some onion sets in cells... then plant them out if they don't sell..
Same with spring Cabbage...
Endive and Chicory if you eat it, winter lettuce if you don't..
Broad beans? a bit early...

passed on these ideas to our secretary who was delighted someone had shown some interest  :-X not too srong on getting involved our lot
