........but DON'T unwrap your roll of twine & end up with a tangled mess.

Just stick your finger in the top!

It still collapses into a tangled mess after you've used half of it Tim!

Palustris

Put it in a jar with a lid, in which you have drilled a hole. feed the string through the lid and bingo, no tangles, no collapse and dry string!
Gardening is the great leveller.

Im drilling a hole in a tin lid as we speak   ;D

Robert_Brenchley

You can use a nail, but hammer from the underside of the lid, so any sharp edges go our and don't affect the string.

Or alternatively, buy it already in a tin with a cutter built in.

I think we got ours from Poundland.
Grow your own and enjoy the fruits of your labours,
Regards Alan.

My expensive wrapping is waterproof, Eric!

We do have a hand painted tin with a hole in the top but that's been 'borrowed'.

Tee Gee

I supplement the plastic container yours is in Tim by sticking it tightly in a plastic bag with the end of the twine sticking out and just put a twist tie or a piece of insulation tape around the neck of the bag to keep it closed.

Glass jars and me don't go together............I'm too clumsy..........soft ball is more my game ;D

tim

Forgot to say that I can't fit a tin in my pocket.

Tee Gee

I see you have got abreast of things Tim  ::) ;D
