Yes I agree. I didn't like putting poison down for the mice but pest control told me that they have hardly any meat on them so it goes to dust in no time and leaves no trace.

My sons school is plagued by Squirrels in the loft - they have just had to have all the roof removed, joists replaced (some were so chewed so thin - it was dangerous), the whole place rewired with the cables in metal conduits (they had chewed through numerous cables), skylights replaced (they had eaten all the wood surrounds), Then the whoole roof refelted and tiled.  The barge bords are now re-inforced with metal sheeting.  All this work has cost thousands!!!!

The smell from electrocuted squirrels is disgusting and the first you know of it is when their decomposing corpses start leaking through the ceiling...............then the smell starts!

..........and some people think they are cute?

Get in touch with your insurers now - some will stand the cost of emergency repairs/deterant work  - before your loft goes up in smoke - which happened to an old lady across the road from my friend!

Tufty has a lot to answer for !

Everything depends on the atmosphere where they die. If it's dry they'll mumify. If it's damp, they'll go all liquid and nasty.

Ok update -  the war is on!!!!

It just wouldnt go for the traps, but i bought Growing Sucess Mouse Killer and so far so good.

Placed the pellets and all i heard was a quick patter to them. Must have been hungry as its access point to the house was the kitchen!! wee ******* chewed through my expanding foam and duck tape.

On checking the poison food it was munched in seconds!!!!

WHAHAHAhahahahahh

Sorry ;)

........of course it was damp! - the flipping things had eaten all the roofing felt!

Get yourself a Fenn Trap. If it is a rat or squirrel it will be dead in a few days.
If it works, don't knock it!
