Aah, Flo where are you Flo, tell us about your lovely seeds that are tucked up in my airing cupboard, there was so much writing I think they may be special.

Yo hooo Flo

... and yes they are Jaspees, and they are the best keeper that I have come across so far ... hence being included in the swap ...

... oh and I have a Jonathan too !!!!   ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi, Flo, not pointing fingers darling, even the tiniest trace of moisture would start again given the posting and being wrapped up tight for ages. They are safe and I think well. I will give them another couple of days and post them back to the parcel and back track to see if anyone who has already had the parcel wants a few.

They are nice  though,I would suggest everyone had a few.

I was a bit concerned in case they were from a Supersprout squash .

Hows things, how many squash are you growing this year,I seem to be stopped at every stage this year, The vandals got the first lot,I have re sown and have them all ready to go out, but the ground is flooded. I will lose them in the pots soon .

Take care, XX Jeannine

Hi Folks,

parcel 'raided' and re-loaded and within the hour will be on it's way to Crimple Green  (sounds like a lovely Lettuce ... or a Village near Trumpton  ;) ;D)) should be there Wednesday morning.

Sorry but I have unthinkingly (is that a proper word ?) put the weight up above 1 Kilo, thus postage has increased from £2.92 (when Jeannine posted to me 971 grms) to £4.25 onwards from me (1097 grms). The extra weight is French Beans, which I highly recommend, grew them all last Season for the first time.

After I had got the parcel all beautifully wrapped and taped up, I realised .... if I had put French Beans in a seperate padded bag I could have sent 250 grms for only 70 pence instead of paying £1.33 for 116 grms

It's not the money (honestly  ;)) it's the principle which annoys me, paying the Royal Mail for 'nothing'

Seeds are wonderful, really had to control myself, a few Herbs, some Lettuce and Tomato seeds.

Thanks to Biscombe for the work and organisation, appreciated

Exactly right

;)  8)  ::) but ..........

The way it should work is ..........  you take whatever seeds you fancy from the parcel, then send your Internet Bank details, user name and password to Jeannine and Mikey, what you do with the rest of the seeds , who cares .........

this time next week you can contact us in the Bahamas  (if you must)  ;D

Ha, ha, Mikey.

I've heard people say that Crimple Green sounds like Crinkley Bottom (Noel Edmund's show), and that it sounds like crimpolene (horrible itchy material) before, but never a lettuce, I like that given my new growing skills  :P  Don't know about Trumpton though, I quite think it sounds a little more up-market than Trumpton, what about Camberwick Green??? :-\ :-\ :-\

I'll be watching out for Mr. Postie in the morning and I'll get the parcel back in the post as soon as I can (probably not tomorrow as it's half-day closing at the post office tomorrow).

Ooops, didn't think of that aspect, lots of lovely Lolly and run away together .... hee hee ....
(maybe not run away, walk quickly would be more sensible and achievable  ;))

However don't hold your breath :

a) Debster has not supplied the financial data required
b) Maybe she is not a wealthy Heiress
c) If any large sums of money did show up, by the time I had counted it I would be 'pushing up Daisies'

Aaaaah .... Debs, another of my 'wizzard' plans doomed to failure  ;D

I know exactly what you mean, glad I am not starting out in a career right now. In my time (Violins fade up in background  ;)) cash was tight and parents helped me out with essentials until I finished my Apprenticeship, spent 10 shillings a week on Baccy, Birds and Booze and wasted the rest  ;D

I married a Theatre Sister (way back when Emperor Hadrian was building a wall up North somewhere  :P)
OH actually had money in the Bank God bless her, I was Church Mouse poor at the time, so she bought our wedding ring.

Nurses are a wonderful breed, none like e'm, salt of the Earth  (seriously --- not kidding)  8)

We should leave this topic right there, before someone sends me an electronic smacked wrist .... probably not the proper place for general chit-chat anyway ;D

good luck and take care

Parcel arrived safely and very well wrapped today.  ;D ;D ;D

It's fantastic. Loads of seeds, and I would have taken more than I have if only I had a Lottie to plant them all in. As it is, I'm only growing in containers, so have resisted the urge to take a few of everything  :P

If it's OK with everyone, I will post to the next on the list on Friday. I have seeds to pop in to the parcel (well, box now), but nothing to put them in, so hubby is bringing me some packets home from work tomorrow.

Hope this is OK, and thank you so much for organising this swap. The Spanish seeds look excellent, and I can see that everyone else has put plenty in there too, it will be a great parcel when it arrives back in Spain  ;D

Jo.
