Morning all  i won`t say good.
5-20 this morning woken by the smoke alarm.  :o How lucky we are.

STEAM bellowing out of the airing cupboard,what a site met us.
The thermostat had gone on the tank,it was litrally at bursting point
the whole landing and 2 back bedrooms were steam filled how it never blew up we shall never know. My husband went into action
switched off tank,drained allhot water off,flipping alarm still going
to busy to shut it off first things first.  My goodness you should see the place now its a mess,full decoration is the only thing to put it right.  Apoligies to my neighbour for early morning alarm call, he is
very good fortunately.

We must look on the bright side though look what could have happened.heaven forbid i would have had my home devastated.

All this after rushing my husband to hospital on sat at wait for it
6-20 in the morning. They say these things come in 3`s so i shall
wait very nervously each day this week.Please keep your fingers crossed for me all of you.  A very nervous  Rosebud

Poor you and hubbie! Hope you get mopped up soon and nothing else happens...I guess the water tank counts for three anyway!!

Glad to hear that you and hubby are ok, and that damage is a lot less than it could have been.

Sounds like you was well lucky..never heard of an ermersion going like that before....  be handy if you have insurance but if you havent.... it aint that important as long as you are all allright...thats the main thing..

will be sending out some positive vibes to ya mary to help the day pass more easily.....

Thanks Oz i am feeling a bit sorry for myself at this moment.i think it isthinking of what might have been ,very scary. :'(
Ron thinks its the thermo can`t think what else it could be Oz,he will have a look again when he gets home.  Yes we have got insurance Oz thankfully.

What was wrong with hubby for the morning hospital visit? I hope he is ok.

Don't think about what could have happened. It didn't. What happened happened and there's no use thinking about anything else.

Plus look on the bright side - perfect excuse for new decorations. (will your insurance cover it?)

Hi folks thank you so much for your good wishes,as i said ti Oz i am feeling quite fragile at present,and reading your kind messages is lovely but starts me off again,silly woman.
Hi Aqui Rons rush to hospital was very scary he felt rather poorly and coulden`t stand upand felt very sick ,so i phoned my son and we got him up there pretty quick, it turned out to be a side effect of the arthritus tablets the dr had perscribed for him caused
vertigo.took him untill yesterday before he felt better.
But all seems well now thank god.thanks Aqui.

Has your hubby tried acupuncture for his arthritis???? honestly I swear it works wonders.. I have seen it help peeps in severe and chronic pain and it is 100 % natural... I have recommended this too several peeps and all have had their quality of life dramatically improved...... is just a thought... and Mary try and not think tooo much at what might have happened... cus can be a road to depression so it can.. so lets instead concentrate on the what did happen and give 3 cheers to your hubby and 3 cheers for the smoke alarms and 10 cheers for you.. cus u iz feeling a bit fragile like.....

is good stuff and is well know for pain relief... and is dead enjoyable toooo if you likes to relax and let your mind go with the flow of your Qi (thats your energy flow that is).. I loved it and think i shall have another to see if me Yin and Yang are in harmony..... can feel a song comming on I can,,...

I likes singing in Green I does... can sing in blue but I finds it hard to reach middle c... and singing in purple is well well hard and best left to the pavoroties of this world as are the yellows.....  and I couldn't sin in red if me life dpended on it, cus it is just an octave toooooo high for this Jose  and I find it very hard on me larynx  I does..... so will just have to sing in green....anyways  is nicer and is me natural key it is.... no un-natural singing in another colour from this Jose...oh no no no no no...  My pitch is Green and ifs U wants Purple then You will just have to toodle top off down to the Opera.. where they does all that purple singing malarky...

Well things are looking better today. We shall have to redecorate but who cares we are safe .that was yesterday.

Rosebud (mary?) I didn't see this thread yesterday - don't know how but anyway thank goodness you are all o.k.  You look after your "hero" - we have to after 43 year don't we??!!  Never had that happen - did have a kitchen fire but we were out and can imagine the mess you must face to redoecorate.  Hope your OH keeps o.k., mine has arthritis too but luckily has never had a reaction like that to medication.  Chin Up.

Hi Wicker thank you ,yes i have settled down today after such a fright i can tell you .  Now to sort the decoration out, it will take a while we cannot do it straight away ,takes a time to organise.
Ron or i have never had a reaction to drugs before ,as they say theres always a first time. He won`t even take a paracetamol
now and his knee is so sore..  I am sure the Doc will sort him out on friday.

Wow!  Glad everyone's OK.  Decoration's a chore but fixable.  Re the acupuncture, a friend had it to sort his leg ( he was hit by a Ferrari and it shoved a three-inch post thro his leg).  The acupuncture worked and saved him from further major surgery.  He's bought a Ferrari with his compensation.
