Hi
Sown From Seed Earlier This Year Some 'Greyhound' Cabbages, The Seedlings Looked Fine, Transplanted Into Individual Cells But Now Virtually All The Plants Which Are Now Approx 8" In Height And Have The Conical Shape, Although They Have Developed Leaf's Which Have Have Lighter Green/Yellow Areas Which Has A Mottled Effect, Has Anyone Some Advice To Cure This Problem - Thanks

Which leaves are mottled the inner forming the cone or the outer leaves?

If it is the outer then don't worry about it if it is the inner then I guess your soil pH is not right!

Sounds like some kind of deficiency of nutrient. How big are the cells they are in?

If they are 8 inches tall and in small cells then they probably need planting out or if conditions are not favourable then potting on into bigger pots.

tim

Surely, if they are 8" tall, they should have been planted out long ago??

Sorry I Didn't Make Myself Clear, I Planted The Cabbages In To The Soil A Month Ago From The Pots, Both Inner And Outer Leafs Are Effected, Thanks All For The Responce

Try a sprinkling of Lime around the plants but do not allow it to touch the plants, then fork/rake it in.

This might work but my feeling is it might be too late!!

There is some more information here on how to do it; http://tinyurl.com/yf7byh

Mine have done the same and I put it down to using sprays on them to stop or kill white fly/greenfly.
