Compost Rhubarb leaves?

Is it ok to put rhubarb leaves in the compost bin? or is there just too much oxywhajamacallit acid?

I have always put mine in the compost, I think it is ok.  Hopefully someone else will come along and confirm....? :-\

Thanks Trevor, it was the other plants that I was worried about killing, never even thought it could be harmful to us when composted but then I'm not growing much food  yet anyway  ;D

Rhubarb in compost? a big yes

Either compost them, make liquid manure with them, or use them for insecticide. Don't waste them.

do tell.............im interested in how to do this and havent heard of this method?

Boil them up and use slightly diluted. The liquid is useful when sprayed for greenfly etc.

left in water for 2 months then watered over cabbage leaves will deter cabbage white
dont know the qty of water to leaves tho.

And thankyou woppa, I thought it was something like that, I was just being lazy about finding out the right name for it  ;D And you're not a sad chemist either  ;) that's the sort of info I often come out with when someone is asking me about something ::)
