How do you cope?

Ours is pH 7.5 throughout. And yet Potatoes do well.

Mine is about pH6-6.5 according to a pH meter which may or may not be accurate. Everything grows quite happily, so I don't do anything to modify it at all.

I really should test mine... i have a tester somewhere around here but would take me a week to find it.

All i know is my brassicas havent done too well.

Alimo

I've never tested my soil - but living in Cornwall I guess our soil is as acid as they come.

Most things grow here ok - anything that's not I put down to my inexperience. (this is my 3rd year at growing veg).

Accounts for your great complexion!!

No Tim, not here in Bournemouth. It's more limey if anything, like the tap water. Buy a new kettle here and within a fortnight you're descaling it.  :(
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

Don't remember the water - last time I was in B'mouth was in 1928 - at The Old Ride School, Branksome Park. Watched the Review of the Fleet.

Robert_Brenchley

We had a fleet then, too. Must have been impressive.

So true, Robert - so true!!

I think I posted this some time ago, but a repeat won't hurt. View over our playing field.
