I had only read the other thread yesterday and didn't realise how ill she was, so it was a real shock to read about her today.

I am so very sorry to hear your news Will, it must be a very difficult time for you and my thoughts are with you and your family.

I always read Supersprouts posts with pleasure as they were so interesting and she obviously had a wealth of experience and was so helpful to me and others.
I will miss her and her postings very much.

The seeds we swoped I shall cherish beyond words.

She was always so generous and such an inspiration ... I learnt so much from her  ... especially ALL about straw !!  ;D

Like everyone else, feeling so very sad today at the awful news. What a wonderful person your Mum was Will, she touched so many people with her humour and kindness and wisdom. You must feel very proud of her. She was a very special person and will live on in all of our happy memories of her.  Thinking of you! jean (busy_lizzie)

So sorry that this had to be the way, but thankful that she could pass on peacefully. Like a number of others here I have great simpathy for you, having myself lost a close relative to cancer a couple of years back, just when he thought he had it beaten; quite horrible.

Take good care of yourself and remaining family.

I'm another who enjoyed her posts and am growing the jerusalem artichokes she so kindly sent recently. Like others, I will remember them as they flourish over the years ahead. It is very generous of you to keep this site informed when you must have so much to do. Can't believe her straw mulching is over. Very best wishes.

Not much else to say, everyone else has already said it.

Will - my heart bleeds for you and your family. Such awful news on such a lovely Springlike day here in the southwest. I've been out in the garden most of the day (doing what Sarah so loved to do  :)) and have only just logged on.

I feel so sad, but we must celebrate her life which she lived to the full. I used to wonder how she found the time to post on three other forums (to my knowledge) as well as here with her advice and humour.

Your mum was one of the most loved contributors to this and other forums. It is so sad that we will no longer see her mulch avatar or read her latest input on the art of mulching.

Take care of yourself Will. The next few weeks will, I'm sure, have some harrowing moments - but if you think of all the lovely memories you have of your dear mum, then you will be able to smile again.

Thank you for letting us have your address. You'll be hearing from me.

Goodbye to Sarah, the dear friend I never had the luck to meet personally.
