Hi All i'm fairly new here and feel a bit cheeky asking but i'd love some horseradish, Comfrey, Jerusalem artichokes and borage.  If anyone has any spares I have lots of flower and veg seeds so hopefully i'll have something you may desire! :)  Very happy to send S.A.E etc

I've nothing now, but I get borage growing like a weed on my plot; I'll have to save seed this year. This isn't the first request I've seen for it.

JUST SEND A BIG CHUNK OF COMFREY ROOT. THAT'LL WORK BETTER AND FASTER ANYWAY.

I have horseadish (it's my number 1 weed!). I'm very busy during the next two weeks, but if you're prepared to wait I will dig you some up .

I am usually over-run with borage ... if you would like some plants when they come through just let me know !  ;D

How dare he? And you've only spent 8 hours and 35 minutes browsing A4A. That's nothing compared to some : http://www.allotments4all.co.uk/joomla/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,91/action,stats  ;D

A have a very pretty variegated comfrey but I'm saving it for the plant sale... again Horseradish no probs... dig it out every year... it only encourages it! Borage "weeds" too....

hazelize_uk

Basically i've asked to fill my plot with weeds!  :o

dandelion

Yes that sums it up nicely  ;)!
By the way, I have the variegated comfrey too, but it's not as good as the regular kind for for using as a fertiliser.

Let me know if you like a little shoot of this too. I have plenty.

hazelize_uk

Just been moaned at by my mum apparently the field next to her house is full of comfrey so no need to grow it i can use as much of the wild stuff as i like :)

flowerlady

Dandelion would it be cheeky to ask if you had a shoot of Goldsmith to spare for me too ??  :-\

Jitterbug

Hello Dandelion

If you rememeber you very kindly sent me a root of horseradish last year which is still growing well.  I did however have it in a pot near my greenhouse and it was wonderful because at least once a week I would come out and a couple of slugs would be lying on their backs frothing.  Not sure it it killed them - lobbed them into the carpark on the other side of the fence.

I will be taking root cuttings this we of 2.5cm each and potting them into smaller pots to place around my potatoe patch on the lottie this year - I believe it makes a good companion plant but needs to be contained.

Kind regards

If you can't be a good example -- then you'll just have to be a horrible warning....

hazelize_uk

do you still get enough root to eat some if you grow it in pots??  i'm addicted to the stuff i shove it on everything love it with fish but i've been told that the fresh stuff is awesome cant wait to try it and if it kills slugs too its a double winner :D

Do you still need borage seeds? I have some ready to go..........
