I think that's because it's the pass-the-parcel scheme? Honestly, when we swap or give away on a one-to-one basis there's never been mention of minimum numbers....we're all happy to either get or give something we need or have a surplus of. Hope that clears things up for you :)

Swap what you can, but if you've only got  half a dozen seeds to offer, say so so there are no misunderstandings. I think most people realise that.

Whenever I've swapped with anyone here we merely swap what we can spare.  The whole point of swapping is to try something different that we might not ordinarily buy and see how we get on with it, if we like it etc.  We don't expect to get loads and loads of seed to fill the lotty up!

The pass the parcel is different to general seed swapping.

I'm quite happy swapping small amounts. If something is really good, I can save the seeds for next year anyway. I 'm glad everyone feels the same, as I was feeling guilty for sometimes only sending small amounts.

the thing is sometimes you dont need a lot.

Like peas and beans you just need 3 or 4 to get a plant up and running then you save as much seed as you want for the year after.

Also, if I have half a dozen people responding to an offer for one type of seed, I try to give everyone some, so the quantities might be smaller.

cj, I wouldn't worry - apart from the odd rogue, we all know we mean well! Now, if you'll just send all your seeds to me, I'll be happy to take the burden from you...

...oh well, worth a try...   ;) ;D
