Well my greenhouse is up & ready to go, took 3 days to errect but hay ho all systems go now! Just wondered what type of staging is best, alluminium slates/or wooden ones. Or solid base etc don`t really know what to get  ???. also while i`m here  ;D i know i shan`t need it yet but as i don`t have a electricity supply are the parrafin heaters ok to use?

Hubby built me wooden permenant staging....DONT do it!!!!  If I had the chance again (thats a song isn't it?) I would go with removable aluminium, cos then I could get another row of tomatoes down one side, by taking out the staging, now that most of my seedlings are outside. But just my opinion ;D

I'm with Doris, I have 2 wooden slatted tables and I move at least one out in the spring/summer to make more space down that side.

Parrafin heaters are OK -but they introduce more moisture into the greenhouse, and you shouldn't need them anymore until autumn now. Also don't forget the bubblewrap insultaion to keep the fuel bills down.

Right about now you probably need to worry more about ventilation and shading than you do about heating.

I agree - I have alumnium staging which is very light (just as well as getting it out of my 6 x 4ft greenie is no easy feat!) and also has removable slats on the bottom which is very hepful for storage.

don`t worry i have no intention to "heat" my greenhouse yet, just wondered for future reference. I`ll go for alluminium then, thanks for advice :)
