Are you using windows XP ? if so you can go to a restore point before the problem. I thik a lot of automatic updates upset computer settings.

I would try the above or re-install the software.

Thanks - XP yes. Neither option will affect stored data??

funplants

Both options mentioned will leave data alone.

Personally, I'd go for trying to reinstall the software first, as the file that the error appears to be in is part of the application, rather than a library file.

It's a common problem this is how I resolve it on customers PC's.

Uninstall doesn't remove the database file nor the albums. Consequently, corrupted files will haunt you if you don't eliminate them.

1. Backup the Image Libraries.
2. Run Windows uninstall
3. Delete the remaining Zoombrowser EX folder from C:\Program Files
4. Reinstall Zoomy from the CD disk.
5. Import the images you backed up.

Grit them even harder!!

But thanks for that.

Wouldn't control panel/add remove progs be a safer and more thorough option? If Tim only removes the EX file, is he going to have problems re-installing on top of the old files? (What do I know!!)

I think you misunderstood me step 2 running the windows uninstall is the one found in add/remove programs, "Zoom Ex" is the name of the default installation folder the uninstall program does not delete this folder and after you have uninstalled the program there will still be corrupt files in it, these need to be deleted before the program is reinstalled or the problem will remain.
