Must be doing the rounds again, I have just had an email pretending to be from Halifax bank asking me for my ATM log in details. I don't even have a Halifax account!

Watch yourselves and just delete these emails, remember your bank knows your details and wouldn't ask for them!!

I've just had one from ebay or was it ??? it looks the biz, asking me to change my password, I have copied it and sent to ebay to checkout. ::)

Yes - had one from 'Barclaycard' yesterday.

Roy, whenever this happens (and ditto paypal) just log into your account independently and you will know whether it's authentic or not.

My husband had one of those a couple of months ago which he read at work and discarded but it turned out to be authentic because both he and I were logging into his account from different locations - they had temporarily put a hold on it, fearing it was being hacked.

Just open up a new window in your browser and try logging in from there (but completely ignoring the email I must add)

Just had one from Halifax, one from Marbles.com offering me a seriously cheap credit card if I'd type in details of ones already held (duh!) and one from Nationwide.  Don't have accounts with any of them.  All now on blocked list and go straight into junk mail.  Getting fed up of them though.

Barclaycard AND Nationwide this morning...never been so popular, just waiting now so I can give my bank details to someone so they can transfer some money via my account, with me getting a huge cut!!!

Keep getting them from Barclaycard, which I just ignore, -  I niavely thought they had just made a mistake and it never crossed my mind it was a phoney.  ::) busy_lizzie
