does anyone have suggestions as to an alternative variety or supplier?

I had some red barron i planted very late which appeat to be doing ok, i am not sure if they will make it through the winter.

Just come back from plot with more spuds and cut the tops out of the rhubarb dressed with a mix of maure and compost and toped with hay :-)

knackered now.

2 more beds of spuds to go :-)

I've had really good results from autumn sets of 'Red Electric' for the past couple of years.
Unwins certainly used to stock packs, so if you can't find them locally it might be worth checking their catalogue...

Try this link, free next day delivery, I found this AFTER I'd bought some (more expensively) on eBay!

If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Try eBay, I've just got some Jermor shallots from an eBay shop, got them this morning, and suprise! They are from the same company I posted the link for! Methinks someone took advantage of the price and free P&P before me..... ::)
