Mrs Ava

What a man!  He is well aware of the sort of things I am looking for to provide protection and supports at the allotment.

At the end of last week he had the car for work and he came home a different route.  This route took him past a large industrial estate, so he meandered through only to come across a couple of fencing, decking, balcony and metal work companies who had great big skips outside their premises.  He came home that night with the boot filled with galvanised metal grids - the sort used on building sites to keep kids out.  The following day, he called one of the companies to ask about the gear on the skip, telling them about his nutty wife and her allotment addiction and whether, if he were passing he could liberate any of it, and they said it was no problem, he could help himself to anything outside of the works!  They even told him about a couple of huge metal gates he could take.

He is my super hero, and the fencing, decking, balcony and metal work companies of Essex are my...umm....spiderman  ::)  ;D  ;)

OH EJ you are soooo lucky. Ian always pretends he's not with me when I spot something 'interesting' in a skip!! Good for Ava - bet you'll find a use for everything without any problem.  ;) ;)

It always amazes me the things some folks throw away.
My daughter once got a fully functional microwave oven out of a skip - the office workers didn't like the colour and said it was old fashioned  so they were glad to let her have it. She eventually sold it (after two years) for £20!!!

Life is like nectar sweet but sometimes sticky.

Guess that would put Ava on the 5th floor of the Husband Superstore (Watershed) - he's cracked it!!
Equality isn't everyone being the same, equality is recognising that being different is normal.
