Thanks MrsKP.  I've already statred gathering seed so if you'd like some, just send me a PM.  I've been growing this variety 'Star of Yelta' for a number of years now and it's as tough as old boots.  It's supposed to be a HHA but I simply chuck a pinch of seed in the border in mid May and it copes fine.  Here's a close up taken a couple of years back but it's definately darker this year.  G x

Can't beat it eh?  I've been planting pots and pots of spring flowering bulbs today but I can't get the ones for the border in yet because there is simply no room!   ::)

lol yea totally! i've got things that should have stopped flowering by now....but i'm not dig them up just to plant other stuff. like my snap dragons have ben flowering since may and show no signs of stopping. and dahlias....and all sorts. and my annuals poppies won't stop either.

i've got some landscaping planned for the garden to give it a bit of structure. but i have to wait till everything stops flowering haha. and my sunflowers haven't even started flowering yet! and i've got a trellis to put there.

MrsKP

You can tell most things are on the way out, but try telling that to the marigolds.  AND i keep rehousing them and they don't complain at all, they just keep flowering.
