Anyone got any ideas for native woodland plants to put in under a beech tree in a shady corner?

Native bluebells, wood anemones, ferns.

Brilliant, thank-you.

I've got bluebells under the apple tree so I've roughed up the ground under the elder a wee bit and thrown some bluebell seeds around. Hoping they'll grow, if not I'll transplant some when they come up next year.

A couple more are Ramsons (wild garlic) and Lords and Ladies. They're both thugs, but then so are bluebells.

Ooooh, love wild garlic!!

Does it not need to be a bit wet though? I think my bit's a bit dry - maybe not, it's been a dry first summer so difficult to tell...
