After extending my veggie plot i also bought a greenhouse from B&Q.  Built it in 1 and a half days and already moved my tomoto plants into it.

I have also just built staging for it outta old sections of decking bars.  Doesnt look too bad and saved me £30  ;)

Heres a quick pic of the greenhouse:

Actually i think i have showed you this.  Ahhwell  ;)

I'd be interested to see your staging Chris.  I want some to run the 8' length of my No. 2 g/h.  I'll be blowed if i'm going to pay eight odd quid for the pleasure.

We have no decking but neverending supply of pallets (as long as they fit in the new car).  Would love to see how you've got yours.

your g/h looks exactly like mine.  once we'd figured out how to put the w clips in, it was a breeze.  am already considering an extra roof vent and a set of louvres but have only found one site that will sell them separately from the g/h itself.   oh and watch for the door runner wheels falling off (if you haven't tightened them enough).  and if you lose the nut and washer, look in the top runner (that's where i found mine after much searching on the floor).   ;D

p.s. any lawn left ?   :P

Love these pics Chris, a good feeling when a project comes together!
Mind you, those bits of lawn look out of place in your lovely veg patch ;) ;D

Hehehe dont tempt me ;) i have already asked the powers that be (my wife) if i could extend it just a little.

I should have bought the larger Greenhouse, altho i did intend getting the smallest....growing tomatoes is very adictive.

I'll post the pics of the staging later on, once i get home from work.....   ;)

calendula

I see the fence is still there  ;D

and it won't be long before you want another greenhouse - I would be embarrassed to show a picture of my greenhouse because of how things are crammed in - 2 grapes, 1 fig, 1 apricot, tomatoes, tomatillos, cucs, peppers, chillis, aubergines - no room for staging  ;D

good luck, it so good to see projects grow

sweet-pea

How big is your greenhouse Calendula?  I'd love to grow apricots :-)

calendula

somewhere between 8/10 x 6 (quite small really considering what is inside)

I can't see the fig that is at the other end, I am assuming it is well and watering is a case of standing at the door and letting rip with a hose until everything drips  ;D

I think there is a couple of frogs in there as well

Looks great Chris. My late husband just would not buy the staging (too dear) so he made a frame from an old market stall we had, bars slot in to make side rails. I put plywood on as shelves or I can leave section off if I want tall plants in there.
looking forward to more pics.

At the moment we just have planks of wood on tressles. As long as it does the job it don't matter
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"
