Hi Pete,

I don`t have a recent catalogue but last time I researched this Screwfix Direct had the best price, local builders merchants were charging twice as much as them.

(Same price half the length)

green sleeves

what are you using the blue  water pipe for?
Hello world
Green sleeves or green hair , it depends on the direction of the wipe. Dont fear untill you have to shake hands.

Hi green sleeves, if you look in the wiki (things to make out of other things) you'll find pix of superior cloche supports made with the blue stuff ;D

Thanks all yes Screw fix looks the best deal  about £16 for 25mm 50m.

I got mine from a friend who works for the people who lay the water pipes. They get loads of end pieces which they cannot use so just bin. All my bits were between 3 & 4 metres long. I cut them into 1m and 1.5m lengths to give me two widths of cloche. It might be worth asking around at your allotment to see if anyone there has a 'friend' who works for the water.

 :-\

Some people shove a bit of bamboo or something up the ends of the pipe, then stick it into the ground. Can't see the point really, the pipe will not rot, wooden type things will!

Some people lash a bamboo cane across the apex of the pipes to add a bit of stability. See what works for you!

Thanks for the reply Katie will see what works best .

If you have any old broken handles, other than those you made dibbers with some fit inside and make good anchor points..
;D
