Hello all,

i have a few GD plants 2 outdoors and 5 in the GH. the 2 outdoors are not as tall as the GH ones, but the trusses have more advanced fruit,  my problem is,   they all have a darker green top to them all, GH, and outdoors,  although the GH ones are a few shades lighter, but they all have it.
the outdoor ones have no shading and are in pots, and get the full sun, lets face it we had some of that this year !!  I've just given them a good old drenching of potash,  ( I've only be using seaweed extract prior).
will this cooler weather turn it around or are they Knacked ? or am i being paranoid ??

A couple of ideas?

"experiment also showed that with increasing K concentrations in the nutrient medium the greenback disappeared"

But DON'T suddenly bash them with potash. Do a dilute feed every day.

Thanks Tim,
I'll give that a go.
so i can possibly retrieve the situation then ?  and do you think it's likely to be green back?

'Excessive heat in the greenhouse' sounds about right for this year.

thanks Jim,
mine do look like that, although some are a fair bit darker, but that could be the photo against real life so to speak.
but all your posts have eased my mind thanks.
i have seen a big improvement after i gave them a good potash rich drink.

Thanks

I don't regard this as 'greenback'.

greyhound

No.  Mine tend to do that, Tim, and I worried a little at first, but they do ripen properly.  One just has to be patient. 8)

And even if they still have the green, they are great!
