:-\  Picked some toms from the allotment today and found a few with these sort of marks on them - is this blight?

Don't know what's wrong with your toms but I must say what fantastic nails you have, mine break with all the scrabbeling round in the dirt I do!

Snap - I almost remarked yesterday that they didn't look like a lotterer's nails!

:)  Thank you for the comments about my nails but they only look like that because I've been away on holiday!  They are far too long for gardening in now so will have to be sacrificed to the file soon!   :(

But what about my tomatoes??

Is there any sign that the leaves are turning blackish.

amanda21

Grant - it's a bit difficult to tell as the leaves have been blackish and wrinkled since I put them in and the frost got them!  I was surprised they recovered but are all fruiting like mad.

my guess is no - fruits affected are normally more wrinkly and brown.  It is normally the whole fruit affected and every fruit on the truss.

Having looked it up I'm worried it might be mosaic virus - has anyone had dealings with this?   ???

As has been said, need more info...

Can you show a piccie of the plants, and also more fruit? Also, we need to know if this is just skin-deep or if it's affected the flesh.

When did signs first appear & is it spreading?

What %age of them is affected?

Where are you growing them? (in or out?)

A description of taste & a cross-section photo (going through the brown bit) would help too.
