I'm pleased as punch.  My first ever raspberry is ripe!   ;D  Now when I was sent these canes by a kind member here I was told they were an Autumn fruiting variety.  Aren't they a bit early?   ???  G x

Lovely, have you eaten it yet?

I've planted some Joan J this year, which is an autumn variety, and have eaten 2 or 3 already and there are loads of flowers coming. My Autumn Bliss on the other hand, are going to be rather later.

Congrats Georgie! Mouthwatering picture.

I've inherited some bushes with my overgrown allotment. They're a bit early this year in Sweden it seems, probably due to the hot weather. Tasty treats while working on the lottie!

The autumn rasps I've got seem to do a kind of opening round at this time of year (just a small handful of rasps every day or do in an 8-ft-square bed) and then get down to the serious fireworks when autumn comes around.

Fingers crossed that you get two bites of the cherry raspberry too!  :)

Thanks for your advice, folks.  And yes, I ate it last night and it was delicious.   ;D
