I have a couple of atlantic giant pumpkin plants, both are growing well, but one is around 15 feet in length, can you nip out the growing tip to encourage fruits?

Yes! Alternatively, train the growing stem curly wurly style by pegging it down :)

Simon05

thanks for the information, I will train it the other way.

Leonnie

personally I wouldn't pinch out the growing tip until a fruit has set and is swelling nicely.

Hi simon, a pic of my squash hedge - all trained curly wurly :)

Simon05

Supersprout,

good pic, they are looking well, even with all this hot weather

supersprout

thank you simon :) - might look healthy cos they are growing in half rotted compost on the shady side of the g'house under black plastic? The equivalent of horticultural caviare for a squash ;D
