Nice wisteria, lovely wall!  Looks like a Cotswold sort of wall - that's my guess.  Come on Saddad, spill the beans.  If not where you are, at least where the wall (and wisteria) is (are) ;D

I agree about the wall and the wisteria!! I'm still waiting for mine to flower after moving it last year! Now had it 3 -4 years and not a flower so far! :'( :'(

Derby, Derbyshire UK... sorry not hiding in any caves although there are some on the Trent.... The Wisteria is on the wall of Kings Newton Hall, near Melbourne. I presume the stone came from Stanton by Bridge, the nearest quarries at that time about 2miles on the packhorse road. The bridge in question is Swarkestone Bridge, probably the longest surviving medieval causeway in Europe. About five miles from Castle Donnington / East Midlands Airport or whatever they call it now!

It looks even nicer today, more open flowers but I didn't have the camera, it is my short cut home when the M1/A50 decide to become one big car park!

Saddad  Many thanks. I have only visited Derbyshire on about 6 occasions, In a lorry with husband when we had haulage. Some beautiful countryside.

thanks Saddat- by coincidence we will be out that way on Sat/Ssun are staying with friends in Castle D.

There are two runs of this size on that wall Flossie and some others on the opposite side of the road, which are shaded and so are a bit later, the thatched pub opposite was the home of the original Newton Wonder cooking apple!

Think I may have been there before..over thirty years ago.  Can remember my Dad driving past a place and telling me that was where the Newton Wonder came from.

Thanks, maybe we'll get a trip down memory lane.  I love wisteria.
