Hello been given 3 ferline tomato plants. Has anyone grown them before? wondered what they were like and if i could grow them outside. Running out of space in the greenhouse.

They are great, I grow them every year and they are always the last to get the dreaded blight on my plot!
Grow as per usual up canes and remove side shoots, they should give you a good crop of good sized toms.

I agree with DP.

I grew them outside and was still picking fruit in October when the others toms nearby were well gone with blight.

This year I am growing some both inside and outside.

This is how they looked:

Might even add that to my list, even if it is an F1 hybrid I grow Sungold despite itself!

Hit by blight and lost the lot last 2 years, hoping for 3rd time lucky.  If not will grow Ferline and only Ferline next year.  Do they taste as good as they look?

They taste OK, not stunning but better than some

It's on my 1st-try-this-year list and I've got just 3 plants growing. They'll go outside at the end of the month....hope the produce will look as good as yours, MT.......disappointed about your verdict on the taste, tho :-\
