the sun shone yesterday, i have a whole load of scavenged timber to build a compost bin with, a load of old bricks to make shed base with, a large pile of manure to spread, the birds are singing, my baby plants are growing, it's a BANK HOLIDAY! :) :) :)

........and where am i?

Stuck at home with the worst throat infection ever (despite having my tonsils removed 9 years ago), feeling like death warmed up and i'd just like to say - IT'S NOT BL**DY FAIR!!!!!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

youre right thats really pants. you have my total sympathy. just remember the sun will still be shining when you recover. try and take it easy. gargle with salt water eat lots of garlic and make everyone else do your jobs. get well soon. :)

Sorry you are having a miserable time Tabby and hope you feel better soon.  It is frustrating to have all your plans knocked on the head.  As Sarah says though there will be plenty of other nice days and the most important thing is for you to concentrate on yourself at the moment, and the sooner that happens the sooner you will recover. Just take it easy and hope you are better soon.  Probably the one time you wouldn't mind seeing rain!  :D busy-lizzie
